(Potosi, MO) It was a difficult ending to last season for the Potosi Trojans who won just 3 games. The Trojans turn over a new leaf with the 2023 season, but it doesn’t get any easier as they begin the season with one of the most difficult starts, on paper, any team in the area may have. Their first four opponents, St. Clair, Farmington, Central and Valle Catholic combined for a record of 31-15, and last year Potosi won just one of those four games. It was week 1 against St. Clair. With another tough start to the year, how are they laying the groundwork for the season? Here’s Potosi Head Coach Dylan Wyrick, says with a young roster, preparation might be different.
The Trojans offense will feature a new face at Quarterback after Blake Coleman Graduated in the spring. According to Wyrick, the starter will be former Wide Receiver, Luke Brabham. Coach Wyrick adds he's confident in his options at the QB slot.
When asked about depth, Wyrick says they have more youth than depth.
Wyrick adds he wants each player to reach their full potential each week this season, and if they do that, they’ll be successful.
