(Bonne Terre, MO) The Poplar Bluff Mules erase an early set deficit and extinguish multiple North County Lady Raiders rallies to win in four sets Monday night; 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.
Ireland Gowen paced Poplar Bluff attackers with 11 kills and two aces. Bailey Henson collected seven kills and two aces, while Morgan Cisne had four kills and three aces unofficially.
Poplar Bluff halted a Lady Raider runs of 5-0, 4-0 and 6-0 in each of sets two through four to swing momentum back in their favor, and the Mules ended the match scoring the last five points.
North County was led in scoring by Ayrianna McClanahan who had two kills and six blocks unofficially. Olivia Scherffius had seven kills, while Reese Bequetter and Claire Jenkins had five kills.
North County (2-4) travels to St. Vincent on Wednesday.
