Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The North County Raiders have won two straight games for the first time this season, defeating the St. Clair Bulldogs 33-14 on their Senior Night.
Both teams sought to establish the run game, and after the two teams traded scores to begin the first quarter, North County proved that they were the bigger and stronger team up front. Quarterback Braydee McClure and fullback Noah Lashley both picked up large chunk of yards, allowing the Raiders to slowly pull away. St. Clair were able to pick up yards until the very end, but a prepared North County defense always seemed to stop them just a bit short of the goalline, leading the Raiders to an impressive three-score win.
McClure led the Raiders on 18 carries for 207 yards. Lashley carried the ball 16 times for 129 yards. St. Clair was led by All-State running back Josh Hawkins, who recorded 147 yards on 18 carries.
North County has won two straight, they'll finish the regular season against Sullivan on Thursday. The Bulldogs play Owensville in St. Clair.
