(Park Hills, MO) The top seeded Central Lady Rebels defeated the five seed Festus Tigers 70-38 in the first of two girls’ semifinal games at the 38th annual Central Lady Rebel Christmas Tournament.
Central led throughout, going on an 11-0 run to start the game and not looking back. The score sat at 34-19 in favor of the Rebels by the end of the first half. The Lady Rebels continued their dominance into the second half where they outscored the Tigers 29-12 in the third quarter and 36-19 in the half overall.
Khloe Dischbein put up 19 points and shot 67% from the field, leading the Lady Rebels on the scoresheet. Central was helped by Taylor O’Connor (16p) and Blair Sitton (10r). Festus was led in scoring by Olivia Madden who put up 12 and collected six rebounds.
The Lady Rebels move on to the championship matchup of the tournament. They will play the South Iron Panthers on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 6pm. The Tigers will play the Fredericktown Lady Cats for third place on Saturday at 3pm.
