(Potosi, MO) The West County Lady Bulldogs are 5-0 to begin the season after a road victory in Potosi on Tuesday, 70-49. Gracie Wright paced the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points, while Bailey Skiles contributed 16 points from the bench.
Alexis Hedgecorth earned Little Caesar's Pizza Player of the Game honors recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Hedgecorth was a near perfect 9-of-10 from the foul line in the victory as well.
At halftime, West County led 27-18 but were in foul trouble with several players. Lady Bulldogs Head Coach, Bobby Simily, says because of this, they had to adjust defensively in the second half.
In total, West County's bench outscored Potosi's 23-10. Coach Simily on his team's scoring depth.
The Lady Trojans were led by Kaydence Gibson with 14 points, Kya Gibson added 11 points. Potosi Head Coach, Allie Golden, after the loss.
Potosi falls to 2-2 on the year. Both teams return to action Thursday, Potosi plays Arcadia Valley on the road, West County hosts Ste. Genevieve.
