(Park Hills, MO) The top seeded Central Lady Rebels are crowned the champions of the 38th annual Central Lady Rebels Christmas Tournament after steamrolling the South Iron Lady Panthers 77-46. Central dethrones South Iron – who were the defending champs – for their first Christmas Tournament championship since 2020 and 15th in team history.
The Lady Rebels showed up ready to win a championship, scoring 28 in just the first quarter which gave them an 18 point lead to end one. Central continued their dominance into the second quarter where they put up 19 points and only surrendered six. The Lady Panthers were able to find some momentum to open the second half but couldn’t shrink the deficit as both teams scored 20. Central matched South Iron’s 10 points in the fourth quarter and breezed to the championship victory.
Khloe Dischbein led Central on the scoresheet scoring 21 and grabbing 5 rebounds. Taylor O’Connor, Alyssa O’Connor, and Sydney Miles all put up 10 points in the victory as well. Anna Parker led South Iron with 21 points and she was helped by Enzley Dinkins, who scored 14.
Central finishes the tournament undefeated with a 3-0 record and finishes first. South Iron went 2-1, finishing in second place.
