Cape Girardeau, Mo. (KFMO) - Southeast Missouri quarterback Paxton DeLaurent threw for a career high 418 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Redhawks dominated Tennessee Tech, 34-3.
SEMO (6-1, 3-0) led 10-0 at the half, thanks to a DC Pippin field goal and a 13-yard touchdown pass from DeLaurent to Tristan Smith. TTU (2-4, 2-1) added a field goal to bring it back to 10-3, but the Redhawks responded in a big way, 24 straight points to complete the blowout victory.
The Redhawks are now up to #8 in the latest AFCA Coaches poll, up from #9 last week. SEMO travels to Charleston Southern next week, October 19th.
