(Columbia, MO) The Missouri Tigers outlast Oklahoma after a wild finish on Saturday beating the Sooners 30-23.
Oklahoma tied the game at 16-16 with 3:18 left in regulartion when Jackson Arnold caught an 18-yard pass from Taylor Tatum. The Sooners scored shortly after with exactly 2:00 remaining as Billy Bowman Jr. scooped up a fumble and returned it from 43 yards out. The Sooners led 23-16.
But No. 24-Missouri didn’t roll over. The Tigers tied the game 57-seconds later as Quarterback Drew Pyne lofted a 10-yard pass to Theo Wease Jr. in the end zone for the tie. And with 22-seconds remaining Zion Young grabbed a loose ball at the 17-yard line and scrambled to the promised land.
Pyne completed 14-of-27 passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns a week after throwing three interceptions. Wease Jr. had four receptions, two of which, were touchdowns.
The Tigers play No. 23-South Carolina on Saturday.
