(Kansas City, MO) The Kansas City Chiefs will play for an AFC Title for the seventh straight season after beating the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs on Saturday, 23-14.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce teamed up for the deciding touchdown. Mahomes completed 16-of-25 passes for 177 yards and the lone touchdown to Kelce. Kareem Hunt carried the ball for 44 yards on eight attempts including a touchdown.
Houston kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn missed a field goal and an extra point.
Kansas City advances to the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills for the second time in since 2020-2021. It will be the fourth playoff meeting between the two teams since the 2020-2021 season.
