Woman Hospitalized After Jefferson County Crash

(Jefferson County, MO) A St. Francois County woman is hospitalized following a Jefferson County car crash over the weekend. Troopers with the Missouri Highway Patrol say it happened Sunday morning shortly before 9 o'clock on Highway 67, just south of Route V. That's where 43 year old Valarie Moore was headed north, when she lost control of her vehicle and it veered off the right side of the road. She overcorrected and it ran off the left side of the road, struck a post in the median, and rolled over several times. Moore was taken to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis in serious condition. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
