Woman Dies in Desoto Fire

(Desoto, MO) Jefferson County Sheriff's Department authorities say a woman is dead after a fire Thursday night in the 4300 block of Desoto Drive at Desoto. Positive identification has not been made yet. The victim’s body is with the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office now as they continue efforts to discover it's identity. Investigators believe the fire started accidentally in a bedroom. The exact cause is undetermined, but this fire isn’t considered suspicious.
