Woman Charged in Stabbing

(Bonne Terre, MO) A woman from Bonne Terre, 41 year old Brandy Pierce Phillips, is charged with domestic assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action, both felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of violation of an order of protection for an adult after a stabbing incident in Bonne Terre February 21st. According to Police Chief, Doug Calvert, his department was called to a residence in the 400 block of D Street about 10:30 the morning of the incident for an injured man who had allegedly been stabbed by Pierce Phillips with a pair of scissors. Officers found the victim, a man in his 40's who had been married to Pierce Phillips, at his neighbor's home. Officers gained permission to secure the victim's residence and while searching, found the scissors with evidence on them. They also found Pierce Phillips trying to hide from officers in a space next to the garage of the home. She was apprehended without incident. Phillips has two court dates set soon. She was booked into the St. Francois County Jail on $25,000 bond.
