Farmington Officials Putting Out Guidelines for Waste Site

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Officials with the City of Farmington are noting an increase in yard waste disposal at the Farmington Yard Waste Site, located at 3875 Pimville Road, since the recent winter storm.

Anyone who uses the site must follow guidelines including only Farmington City residents, who live within city limits, may use the yard waste site to dispose of limbs and yard waste. The gates are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Commercial disposal is only permitted by contractors that are working for a City of Farmington resident. Waste from outside locations may not be disposed of at the site. Contractors must have the name, address, and phone number of the property owner they are working for upon arrival at the site. All tree trimmers must be licensed in the City of Farmington and have their license on hand upon arrival. An on site staff member will be making calls to the property owner to verify the information. Security cameras are also on site and regularly monitored by the Farmington Police Department.
