Winter Driving Preparedness Tips

(Park Hills, MO) When extreme winter weather hits, experts say it's best not to travel. If you do have to drive when there's snow, ice, and cold temperatures, there are some ideas to keep in Mind. Corporal Dallas Thompson, of the Missouri Highway Patrol, says when snow and ice are around, even with a road that's been cleared, certain areas can still be dangerous.

Thompson also says keep blankets, charging devices for cell phones, snacks, and bottled water with you when traveling in bad winter weather in case of emergency.
