St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department is moving forward with plans to equip deputies with body cameras.
Sheriff Jeff Crites says the department is working to find the most comprehensive and cost-effective option available.
Crites adds that bringing body cameras to the department was one of his top campaign priorities when he ran for sheriff. The cameras aim to increase transparency, accountability, and safety for both officers and the public.
