Weather Postpones Special Olympics Torch Run

(St. Francois County, MO) Officials with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department are moving the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics due to inclement weather. The run was schedule for Wednesday, May 18. The Sheriff of St. Francois County, Dan Bullock, says the Torch Run is a way for local law enforcement to show support for the Special Olympics.

Sheriff Bullock added the torch is made of metal which makes it dangerous to hold during certain weather events. The Torch Run has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 25.
