Heavy Rainfall to Bring Flooding Concerns Through Saturday

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Parkland is under a Flood Watch from Thursday morning through early Sunday, as multiple rounds of heavy rain could bring 3 to 7 inches or more of total rainfall. Areas south of I-44 in Missouri and I-70 in Illinois face the highest risk for flash flooding and river flooding.

Storms today will give way to a stalled front, keeping the region in a steady pattern of showers and thunderstorms. Low-lying areas, creeks, and rivers may see rising water levels, making some roads impassable.

Residents should prepare for potential flooding and monitor local forecasts for updates.
