Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 30 Sends One to Hospital

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 30 and Old Sugar Creek Road in Jefferson County left one person with moderate injuries Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12 p.m. when a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 31-year-old woman from Fenton, was turning left from westbound Highway 30 onto Old Sugar Creek Road. At the same time, a 2009 Ford Focus, driven by a 43-year-old woman, also from Fenton, was traveling eastbound on Highway 30. Both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously, resulting in a collision. The front right side of the Ford struck the front right side of the Chevrolet.

The driver of the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
