Tuition Raised at Mineral Area College

(Park Hills, MO) The tuition rate at Mineral Area College is going up $10 per credit hour and dual credit is going up $2. Members of the College Board of Directors approved the new level at their Thursday morning meeting. The President of Mineral Area College, Dr. Joe Gilgour, says MAC still has the most affordable rates.

Also at the meeting the State of the County address was discussed. It's going to be held on the Park Hills college campus Monday, February 21st. Board members also received an update from Gilgour concerning a conference of college educators with Senator Roy Blunt held in Washington. One focus of the trip was a discussion on allowing pell grants to be used for short term educational programs.
