Threat at Bismarck School Being Taken Seriously

(Bismarck, Mo) - The Bismarck School District has sent out a letter to parents and posted on their Facebook page about a potential threat to the district on Thursday.

According to the letter signed by School Superintendent Jason King, the district was made aware of a potential school shooter threat that was posted on Facebook by an unknown user, and then deleted.

The letter goes on to say the district is taking every step to investigate the situation and they have arranged for an increased law enforcement presence throughout the day Thursday including during parent teacher conferences from 1 pm until 6 pm.  The district will also be on a soft lockdown throughout the school day on Thursday.

King says the school will be in session on Thursday as planned.
