The Census Count is Important in Many Ways

(St. Francois County, MO.) It's time for the first in a series of stories from KFMO B104 News on the 2020 Census. After hearing for months of the advantages of working for the census, we've decided to tell you more about what is so important about taking the census. In this story we explore the possible financial advantages of an accurate count. A Media Specialist with the United States Government, Linda Gladden, says it is very important that count be as accurate as possible since citizen representation, and the amount of government funding for local projects, can be based on the census count.

The census will be taken April 1st and Gladden says to be sure and reflect your numbers for your household properly. Gladden also says remember, the census is required by the Census bureau. Our series on the United States census will continue from KFMO B104 News.
