Tax Increase for Pay Raises and Personnel

(Farmington, MO) If you live in Farmington, a half cent sales tax increase could be coming to the November ballot. Farmington Fire Chief, Todd Mecey, says the revenue generated from the proposed tax hike would be used for pay raises and additional staff, for both the police and fire departments.

Mecey says the tax should allow the police and fire departments to be fully staffed, reducing response times.
