Street Still Closed Over Train Wreck

(Ste. Genevieve, MO) North Main Street in Ste. Genevieve is still closed after last week's train derailment. Ste. Genevieve Police Chief Eric Bennett tells KFMO B104 News they aren't sure yet when the road will open again. Six train cars broke free last Thursday evening around 7:30. A call came in reporting the incident at about 7:35. The cars, that were loaded with lime, ran downhill and crashed into a stationary train near Riverview. Authorities are still trying to determine how the rail cars came loose. No injuries and no additional damages have been reported.
