St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A couple of Annapolis residents, 29-year-old Amanda L. Cavaness and 32-year-old James D. Cain, and two additional people, suffered injuries after a two vehicle crash in St. Francois County Tuesday morning just after 5 a.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car driven north at 2976 Highway 221, by 23-year-old Justin B. Morris of Arcadia, crossed over the center of the road and crashed into the side of an SUV driven south by 31-year-old Erica L. Graves of Logansport, Indiana. Morris' car ran off the east side of the highway while Graves' SUV ran off the east side of the road and rolled over.
Cavaness, a passenger in Graves' vehicle, was taken to Mercy Hospital South. Cain who was also an occupant of Graves' SUV, was taken to Parkland Health Center at Farmington. Morris, and his passenger, 19-year-old Ian A. Nettles of Ironton, were both transported to Parkland Health Center at Farmington with minor injuries.
Nettles and Morris were wearing their seat belts during the crash, however Cavaness and Cain were not.
