(St. Francois County, MO) Two roads are getting overlay projects started in St. Francois County. The roads include Primrose and Berry Road and the county's Highway Superintendent, Clay Copeland, says the northern section of Berry Road is being overlayed in anticipation of the new bridge to built on the road north of Bonne Terre at Turkey Creek.
The other road to be overlayed is Primrose, a secondary route between Berry Road and E Highway. Bids of almost $917,000 for Berry Road and almost $262,000 for the work on Primrose was approved by St. Francois County Commissioners at their Tuesday weekly meeting. In other business commissioners gave approval to the application for the Show Me Zero Grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation. The grant would supply equipment funding to the Sheriff's Department.
