St. Francois County Fatal Motorcycle Wreck

(French Village, MO) A man from French Village, 65 year old Donald J. Holstein, is dead after he was killed in a motorcycle wreck in St. Francois County Thursday afternoon. Reports from Highway Patrol Troopers indicate Holstein was riding west on HIghway Y at 2 o'clock, between French Village and Highway 67, when he lost control of the bike. It ran off the right side of the highway and struck and embankment throwing Holstein off. He was pronounced dead at the scene about a half hour later. Holstein was wearing a helmet when the wreck took place. The motorcycle was totaled.
