Some Districts Are Starting Four Day School Weeks

(Independence, MO) Whether you want to admit it or not, back to school time has arrived. Some more school districts are experimenting with a four-day school week, but it is not part of a revolutionary concept to improve education. Instead, it is an attempt to alleviate teacher shortages. In Independence, Missouri a Superintendent Dale Herl says they are lengthening the school day and on Mondays there are no classes.

The district will also offer 30 dollar childcare for families.
