Sokolic Has Court Date in Murder Case

(Jefferson County, MO.) A man from Barnhart, 29 year old Christopher R. Sokolic Junior, has a court date for a next Tuesday in Jefferson County Court on charges of murder in the first degree and armed criminal action. Sokolic was apprehended for the murder of 40 year old Zachary C. Tripp, of Festus. Tripp was found dead Monday afternoon just before 1 o'clock in Barnhart. Sokolic was located, and taken into custody, Tuesday just after 1 o'clock in the morning. He's being held in the Jefferson County jail without bond. Investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department received assistance from the Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad.
