Residential Fire Destroys Home

(St. Francois County, MO) A large one story home on Salem Fields Road, off Highway D in St. Francois County, is destroyed after a fire Wednesday afternoon. The Chief of the Park Hills Fire Department, Brad Weiss, says the first reports came in about 4:17 pm as neighbors told of the damage, and danger, firefighters would face.

Weiss adds the fire isn't considered suspicious and the Fire Marshall is investigating the nature of the blaze. No residents were injured and no firefighters were hurt.
