Potosi Woman Injured in Wreck

(Washington County, MO.) A woman from Potosi, 38 year old Sarah E. Wood, is recovering from moderate injuries she received in a two car wreck in Washington County Saturday afternoon about 5:30. According to Highway Patrol reports Wood was driving south on Highway 21 at Whispering Hills Road. A car driven south by 18 year old Matthew C. Weaver was stopped for traffic while waiting to make a left turn onto a roadway. Wood failed to notice Weaver's car and her car crashed into the rear of Weaver's vehicle. Weaver was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. Wood, who was not wearing her seat belt., was taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
