Possible Shutdown of STL Pipeline

(St. Louis, MO) A lawsuit brought by an environmental group in New York against the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission could cause commercial and residential customers in the region to be without natural gas during the coldest days of the winter. Spokesperson for Spire, Jason Merrill, says a lot of people could be impacted.

Merrill says they are currently waiting on a decision to be handed down by a DC circuit court of appeals regarding the fate of the Spire STL pipeline. While the majority of those outages are expected to be in the St. Louis Metro area, some customers in the Parkland are at risk of not being able to heat their homes this winter.
