Perryville Teenager Killed in Wreck

(Biehle, MO.) A Perryville Teenager, 18 year old Sarah N. Whitener, is dead after a traffic accident just after 6 o'clock Monday evening in Cape Girardeau county. According to Highway Patrol Reports the car she was riding in, driven south on Highway B, 3 miles south of Biehle, by 29 year old William F. Durham, ran off the left side of the road and smashed into a utility pole. Whitener was pronounced dead at the scene. Durham received serious injuries. Both Durham and Whitener were wearing their seat belts at the time of the wreck. Durham was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
