Park Hills Man Admits Sending Private Photo to Woman's Facebook Friends

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Park Hills man is facing felony charges after he sent a private photo of a woman to everyone on her Facebook friends list.

According to court documents, 35-year-old Joshua John Scaggs, also called and messaged the victim, multiple times, despite being told to leave her alone multiple times. Court records indicate that Scaggs told the victims friends that he and the victim were "back together". The photograph, in which Scaggs is accused of sharing, was reportedly taken while the victim was asleep.

The victim told authorities that she was unaware that Scaggs took the photograph and did not give him permission to send the photo to anyone. Court records show that multiple witnesses came forward to speak to investigators with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department, saying Scaggs had sent them a private photo of the victim while she slept.

Scaggs was taken into custody and spoke to investigators after waiving his rights. Court records show that Scaggs admitted to disseminating the nude photo of the victim and thought he had sent the picture to her entire family.

Scaggs faces two counts of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, a class D felony. An arrest warrant was issued for Scaggs last week. His bond was set at $25,000.
