Park Hills Alleged Orbeez Gun Shootings

(Park Hills, MO) Park Hills Police will be forwarding information to juvenile authorities concerning an incident that occurred Wednesday evening around 7:30 in Park Hills. Police received reports of people and animals being shot with a plastic gun that shoots orbeez pellets. These are plastic polymer pellets, similar to a BB in size, that swell when placed in water. According to Park Hills Police Chief, Richard McFarland, at least one person received welts to the skin from the pellets. McFarland adds some of the pellets appeared to be frozen causing further pain. Officers located the suspect vehicle, identified the suspects, and seized three of the plastic guns. A report will be sent to the St. Francois County Juvenile authorities for consideration of possible charges.
