New Assistant Emergency Management Director

(St. Francois County, MO) St. Francois County is getting a new Emergency Management Assistant Director after the position was approved at Tuesday's meeting of the St. Francois County Commission. The Presiding Commissioner for St. Francois County, Harold Gallaher, says the position has been created by commissioners to help in case of a disaster.

Gallaher explains the position will be partially funded by a grant that would pay 50% of the position's salary of $7,000. In other business at Tuesday's St. FRancois County Commission meeting the county's insurance policies were discussed. Terrorism and earthquake insurance, along with the regular insurance needed to cover county buildings and more, will be voted on next week's commission meeting.
