Missouri Texting and Driving Law

(Jefferson City, MO) A new law will be used by crash investigators in Missouri after it was given approval by state legislators in the recent legislative session in Jefferson City. The State Representative for the 117th District, Mike Henderson, says if there were a traffic accident, and phone records show the driver was on the phone texting, or on the internet, when it occurred, there could be charges filed against them.

According to Henderson the 2023 session was productive with nearly 40 bills passed between the House and Senate. Henderson explains many of those dealt with workforce development and infrastructure.
