Memorial Day Holiday Driving Statistics

(St. Francois County, MO) Missouri State Highway Patrol officials are announcing preliminary reports show there were 10 traffic fatalities and no boating deaths or drownings in the state over the 2023 Memorial Day weekend counting period of 6 p.m., Friday, May 26th, through 11:59 p.m., Monday, May 29th . Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers investigated 314 Crashes with 102 injuries 130 DWI's and 14 drug arrests. On our waterways there were 6 boating crashes with 3 injuries and 7 DWI arrests. One of the 10 fatalities occurred in Troop C. During the 2022 counting period the Patrol investigated 301 traffic crashes which included 129 injuries and nine of the 13 fatalities.
