MAC Workforce and Education Center Groundbreaking

(Park Hills, MO) Future Mineral Area College students will look towards opportunities to receive specialized, technical skills training to secure well paying jobs close to home after a special groundbreaking Thursday. A new 80,500 square foot training facility will be built on MAC's Park Hills campus. The President of Mineral Area College, Dr. Joe Gilgour, says this will give students a chance to obtain these skills, and get jobs, without leaving the Parkland.

Gilgour adds classes should begin in 2023 at the new Workforce Innovation and Education Center. The groundbreaking was held prior to the monthly meeting of the MAC Board of Trustees. In other business at the meeting the installation of new touchless entryway doors for the college was approved.
