Looking to the Future with ARPA Funds

(St. Francois County, MO) St. Francois County officials are using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to work about 5 years ahead of schedule with physical improvements to county facilities. The Presiding Commissioner of the county, Harold Gallaher, says they were originally awarded a little over $13 million.

According to Gallaher some of the work involves improvements to the jail's kitchen and internet speeds plus expansion of the county's Juvenile Detention Center. The changes were discussed at this week's St. Francois County Commission meeting.
