(St. Francois County, MO.) Voters in Missouri will get another vote on the effort to define legislative redistricting methods now that the legislative session is over. Legislators approved a second vote on the matter after the clean Missouri act would have caused districts to expanded and cover larger areas in an effort to satisfy minority representation requirements. State Representative, Mike Henderson, says he feels voters want the districts to be localized.
Henderson explains legislators were also able to pass a state budget on time and pass some land conveyance bills for the area. Henderson's bill deals with land in the Farmington Industrial Park. The other, sponsored by State Representative Dale Wright, would transfer 3 properties in Ste. Genevieve to the National Park Service. Tune in to the KFMO Morning Drive Radio Show this morning as we talk with State Representatives Dale Wright and Chris Dinkins.
