Iron County Shooting Investigation

(Bixby, MO) An investigation is underway into a shooting that took place in Iron County Saturday. A press release from the Sheriff's office indicates deputies were called to an area of Highway 32 and Highway DD in Bixby. When they arrived they found a 28 year old male who had been shot in the lower part of his stomach with a small caliber handgun. He was taken to a St. Louis hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. A 28 year old female was also on the scene. She suffered facial injuries during a physical altercation at the scene of the shooting. Iron County Sheriff's Department officials say they'll release more information soon.
