Iron County Junior High Athletic Program Could Include Fifth Graders

Viburnum, Mo. (KFMO) - The Iron County C-4 School District has announced that pending approval from the Missouri State High School Activities Association, fifth graders could be included in the school's Junior High athletic programs.

In a letter addressed to parents and guardians Friday, athletic director Brooke Harris said that the district will offer complimentary physical examinations to interested fifth through twelfth grade students for the 2025-2026 school year next month, on May 16. Forms were sent home with students, but can also be found in the middle school office or high school office.

A physical examination is mandatory for all Junior High and High School athletes prior to first practice.
