Imperial Man Charged with Multiple Child Sex Crimes

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged 43-year-old Christopher Moriarty, of Imperial, with multiple child sex crimes following an extensive investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Special Investigations.

Moriarty, a resident of the 5100 block of Seckman Ridge Way, faces a total of 14 charges, including:

Four counts of Enticement or Attempted Enticement of a Child

  • Three counts of Sexual Misconduct Involving a Child Under 15
  • Three counts of Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy
  • One count of Child Molestation in the Third Degree
  • One count of Statutory Rape or Attempted Statutory Rape in the First Degree
  • One count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • One count of Possession of Child Pornography

According to a probable cause statement, five victims—ranging in age from 12 to 14—described explicit sexual encounters with Moriarty that allegedly took place between June 1, 2024, and March 24, 2025, at his Imperial residence. Investigators believe there may be additional victims, as Moriarty reportedly used social media to contact them.
