Human Remains From Iron County Identified

(Iron County, MO.) Iron County Coroner Tim Harbison is releasing the identity of the human remains found in a creek between Des Arc and Annapolis May 2nd.  The remains are those of Gary Lee Larter of Annapolis. Larter had been missing from his home since September of 2019. A forensic anthropologist from the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's office used medical records to make to identify Larter. The cause of death is being investigated yet evidence so far leads investigators to believe there was no foul play involved in Larter's death. The Iron County Coroner's Office, Iron County Sheriff's Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control have been working on the case.
