House Springs Man Killed in Iron County Crash

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 71-year-old House Springs man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Iron County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Route N, about eight miles north of Johnson Shut-Ins State Park. The man was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger northbound when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire.

The driver, who was not wearing a safety device, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Iron County Coroner. His body was transported to the Iron County Morgue.
