Herculaneum City Hall Closed Indefinitely Following Early Morning Fire

(Herculaneum, MO) Herculaneum City Hall will be closed for the foreseeable future following an early morning fire. Shortly before 5:30 Tuesday morning, a Herculaneum Police officer dialed 911 when he discovered a fire upon entering the police department, which is located in the lower level of the building. Fire crews from Herculaneum, Festus, Crystal City, Dunklin, and Rock Community all responded. The blaze was quickly extinguished, but the building suffered smoke, fire, and water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
