Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Beginning January 1, 2025, law enforcement officers will begin enforcing, and writing citations for, the hands free cell phone law that says it's illegal for drivers to hold, and use, a cell phone while driving.
A Corporal with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dallas Thompson, says the grace period for the law has been in effect since August of 2023.
Thompson explains unfortunately most of the violations are identified after a crash has happened.
