Fredericktown Man Drowns in St. Francis River

(Cherokee Pass, MO) A man from Fredericktown, 25 year old Nicolas C. Robinson, is dead after the Missouri Highway Patrol says he drowned in the St. Francis River, 8 miles west of Fredericktown. According to the patrol, Robinson fell into the water at around Noon, January 28th, and never resurfaced. He was later pronounced dead by the Madison County Coroner's Office. The incident is being investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol, the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Madison County Sheriff's Department, and the Cherokee Pass Fire Department.
