Farmington Sales Tax Revenue Up

(Farmington, MO) The pandemic isn't putting a damper on revenues in the City of Farmington. Greg Beavers, City Administrator, says that over the past year, the revenue lost by the service industry appears to have been made up by retailers who sell hard goods.

Beavers says revenue is up nearly 6% over the past year. He credits stimulus money and looser restrictions at the state level - as compared to other states - as well as the high percentage of residents who were deemed essential, for the increase in local consumer spending.
