Farmington Council Meeting Tonight

(Farmington, MO) Members of the Farmington City Council will meet tonight. The agenda features a public hearing on a proposed ordinance to fix the rate of taxation in town and probable approval of the proposal for a public safety sales tax. The sales tax would be set at a rate of one half of one percent. The funds generated would be used to help both the Police and Fire Departments. In other business councilmen will discuss a resolution that would grant an easement at 826 Potosi Street. Tonight's meeting of the Farmington City Council will begin at 6 pm at 110 West Columbia Street in Downtown Farmington. The meeting is open to the public.
